i’m ok, you’re ok

People think heaven is a place. You are reunited with family and friends and pets and you’re happy and live forever. You can have lunch with Janis Joplin and dinner with Einstein. How long can you spend reuniting with loved ones and lunching with celebrities? Twenty years? So you get to hug family members you’ve spent a lifetime missing; then what? Do you all go to the Olive Garden? And everyone suddenly gets along? Heaven can’t be an eternity of doing what you want with happy relatives. I’m pretty sure Janis and Albert aren’t interested in dining with you. Does that mean you’re dining with your own convoluted, flesh-based idea of what these people are? That can’t be spiritual. It sounds more like having your wisdom teeth out than it does an eternal reward for doing the right thing.
